Site Specific Information
Thank you for choosing Columbia Station Unit II spring refueling outage.
· The outage is tentatively scheduled to begin May 10th, 2009
· The outage duration is approx. 35 days
· During the outage we will work six twelve’s (72 hours per week)
·Prior to the outage we will work five eight’s (40 hours per week) with limited overtime
· Training: Please refer to the handouts mailed to you for your training locations and instructions. If you encounter any problems, will be late or cannot attend training, call 509-377-2245 HP main control point. They will provide you with a contact Tel# to call.
· When on site and your processing in is completed you will park in the contractor parking lot for the outage. First come first serve. Spaces without signs.
. The outage shifts will be: Days 06:00 to 18:00 and Night shift 18:00 to 06:00
. Smoking Policy: There have been no problems in the past, so please don't abuse. There is one designated smoking area and it is off site. You are allowed to go there on your break. You will be told when you get on site the directions to the smoking area. They have a very strict policy and they absolutely do not tolerate any smoking on site or any abuse with extended or frequent breaks for smoking.
Health Physics Entrance Examination:
Nuclear Utility Fundamentals HP Technician Exam (passing score ≥80% for 3.1 qualified ) . No NUF exam required for juniors. The maximum time you can take the exam is three and is on a case by case bases and the third time taken has to be approved by the RPM.
1. The Nuclear Utility Fundamentals HP Technician Exam (qualified and ≥80% for 3.1 seniors) is good within the previous 5 years .
Things to Bring to Columbia Station :
Identification - You will need a valid photo ID (driver’s license, Passport) and your social
security card .
Safety Equipment - ANSI Z75 steel toe safety shoes are not required. Leather, substantial upper and bottom sole shoes are required in the power block. Hard hats, safety glasses and modesty garments, scrubs, 2 sets, will be provided. You can come and go on site wearing your scrubs.
